Tips: Before taking your impression, you can assess the space available between your occlusal size and the opposing teeth by checking the transparency of the bite. If the bite is very clear, the thickness is about 0.5 mm; if it is slightly less clear, it is about 1 mm. Finally, if the bite is opaque, this means that you have a sufficient thickness of 2 mm. This 2 mm is the minimum required to guarantee an optimal aesthetic and functional result for your patient's dental prosthesis.
